“La Reposera” arose from the idea of giving a new life to what was, for more than thirty years,  Janosch place of work. Writer, illustrator, painter and creator, together with his wife Ines, of the Canarina Foundation.

His house-workshop, now converted into as an artists’ residence, maintains the essence of the place, so that it continues to be a space for creation, with the aim of promoting dialogue between art and care for the environment, the territory and the cultural heritage of the Canary Islands.

We want to give Canarian artists from different disciplines the opportunity to enjoy a space for meeting and inspiration in a rural environment.

A breath of fresh air away from routines, obligations and the hectic pace of everyday life.

A place to rest the mind and rest the ideas, to then give them shape from the work table or from an old hammock in the shade of the pepper trees, as Janosch used to do years ago.

During the residencies, individual or shared, the guests will be able to spend time developing projects they already have underway or ideas that have been waiting for their moment in a drawer.

In return, they will carry out joint activities with organisations or groups in the rural area surrounding Finca Tamaide, where La Reposera is located, thereby promoting the exchange of ideas and knowledge and helping to enrich the cultural offering in.
