Support for animal shelters
The aims and objectives of the Canarina Foundation include animal welfare and the promotion of actions to raise awareness and consciousness about the proper care and welfare of animals. In order to achieve these goals, the Foundation has set up a line of support for animal welfare associations and shelters in collaboration with the Canary Islands Federation of Animal and Plant Protection Associations (FECAPAP).
Given the precarious situation and lack of resources of many animal shelters on the islands, every year the Canarina Foundation opens, on an annual basis, a call for financial aid to support those organisations that are experiencing the greatest difficulties. The aim of the aid is to improve basic aspects of the operation of these organisations, such as the veterinary care of the animals, their food or the conditions of their facilities.
